This project presented unique challenges that were embraced and exceeded; as a large house on a prominent corner with a fantastic view, a key design intention was for the home to be admired from every angle, to embrace a north-facing garden and a south facing view of the harbour. A significant characteristic of the house is its unique, angled roof anchored to a cubic base with large, seamless windows overlooking sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. The  basement level exposes the beauty of the excavation into sydney sandstone, which greets everyone as soon as they walk through the front door.
